Institute of Veterinary Medicine

The aim of the institute is to study the biological characteristics of the pets, farm animals, birds, fish and bees; fundamental aspects of the pathogenesis of their diseases; effective approaches of diagnostics, treatment, and prophylactics.

Scientific-research strategy:

To study physiological, morphological and immunological characteristics and normative (regional, age, sexual, breed) of the pets, farm animals, birds, fish and bees;

To study molecular-cellular mechanisms of ethological factors and development of pathologies of the pets, farm animals, birds, fish and bees;

To study specifics of adaptive reactions and immune response of organism during the different pathologies of farm animals, birds, fish and bees;

Development of laboratory methods for diagnostics of various pathologies of farm animals, birds, fish and bees. Introduction of modern immunological and molecular biological methods of diagnostics and scientific research;

To elaborate effective prophylactic methods and study influential mechanisms of pathologies of farm animals, birds, fish and bees;

To elaborate effective treatment methods and study influential mechanisms of pathologies of farm animals, birds, fish and bees;

To work on issues related to the biosafety. To elaborate effective approaches and medicaments against the bioterrorism;

To develop biological treatment and medicines - bacteriophages, eubiotics, probiotics, prebiotics, symbiotic, vaccines, hyper-minimal serum, immune-stimulators, adaptogens and to study their influential mechanisms;

To develop alternative veterinary, to study effectiveness and influential mechanisms of meds of bio-regulation veterinary (homotoxicology, guna-therapy, sanum – therapy etc.) on different animal pathologies;

Improve and evaluate the quality and safety assessment methods of animal origin food in the vet - sanitary expertise practice.
