The institute of Horticulture was established in 2013. The main mission of the Institute is theoretical and practical implementation of modern scientific research to develop and adapt innovative technologies for production best quality, high-yield and competitive fruits in Georgia.

The research is carried out at AgrUni experimental stations in Skra (Gori region, East Georgia) and Mukhrani (Mtskheta region, East Georgia) and at production plots of collaborative farmers, agrocompanies and extension centres.
