What Has Been Achieved at the Veterinary Clinic Veterinarium of the Agricultural University of Georgia Over the Past 2 Years.

Complete Infrastructure Renewal.

More than 500 000 USD was made to fully renovate Veterinarium’s infrastructure and to acquire modern, high-technology medical equipment.

International Professional Training of Staff:

  • With the support of the Kakha Bendukidze Knowledge Fund, more than 22 000 USD was allocated for the international training of Veterinarium’s team. Our veterinarians completed professional development and practical placements in the United States, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, and Estonia
  • The Veterinarium Staff Development Fund was established to support continuous professional growth. For 2026, the clinic has already planned staff training through internationally accredited ESAVS (European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies) programs, a 7-week intensive practical course at the Veterinary Clinic of the Estonian University of Life Sciences, participation in international conferences, and research visit
  • Together with the Staff Development Fund, the Kakha Bendukidze Knowledge Fund will continue supporting staff education and research activities

New Services Introduced

Over the past 2 years, the clinic has introduced a wide range of important new services, including:

  • Laparoscopic sterilization
  • Endoscopic procedures: bronchoscopy, gastroscopy, colonoscopy, cystoscopy, rhinoscopy, otoscopy, foreign-body retrieval
  • Abdominal ultrasonography
  • Cardiac ultrasonography and expanded cardiology services
  • New laboratory diagnostics, including PCR testing, C-reactive protein, cardiac failure biomarkers, D-dimer, cortisol, pancreatic lipase, progesterone, glycated hemoglobin, thyroid hormones, blood compatibility testing, and more
  • TPLO (Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy), internationally recognized as the gold-standard surgical treatment for cranial cruciate ligament rupture, one of the most common orthopedic injuries in dogs and cats
  • Additional orthopedic surgeries, including osteosynthesis, ligament prosthesis, and tibial tuberosity transposition
  • Neurosurgical procedures, including spinal fixation and spinal discectomy
