Anaseuli Base

The Institute of Tea, Subtropical Crops, and Tea Industry is located in Anaseuli. Additionally, the West Georgia Center of the Kakha Bendukidze University Campus is situated here. The facility encompasses a total area of 1,340 square meters. Between 2013 and 2015, the building underwent significant rehabilitation with support from the Knowledge Fund. As a result, modern auditoriums, a computer lab, and a specialized laboratory were established. The center primarily focuses on the implementation of specialized training programs, professional development, and hosting international schools, seminars, and conferences.

Anaseuli is 160 meters above sea level. The region experiences a subtropical, humid climate. The institute's land covers 8 hectares, a significant portion of which is dedicated to the Dendrological Park, featuring over 100 plant species, and to experimental plantations of tea and subtropical crops. Subtropical crops include both perennial and evergreen plants, such as tea, citrus, feijoa, laurel, and olive, as well as deciduous species like subtropical persimmons, hazelnuts, and walnuts. These plants are cultivated under specific agro-climatic conditions suitable for the subtropical climate zone, which acts as a transition between tropical and temperate zones. The growing season is characterized by warmth and extended duration, while winters are mild and relatively brief.
