Barbare Kurtsikidze will undertake the ESAVS program in Bucharest
18 December 2025
In April, Barbare Kurtsikidze will undertake the European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS) internationally accredited Soft Tissue Surgery program in Bucharest.
Barbare is an internist and dentist at Veterinarium. However, she has long been interested in pursuing soft tissue surgery. For this reason, she has frequently assisted the surgeon, closely observing procedures and gaining hands-on experience.
As supporting the professional development of our staff in line with their individual interests is a priority for us, the Kakha Bendukidze Knowledge Fund will support her advanced training through the ESAVS international surgery program.
ESAVS certified and master’s programs offer cutting-edge educational content in clinical veterinary disciplines. The training is based on intensive theoretical and practical sessions, examinations, and a problem-oriented approach. Programs are held at leading universities and clinics across approximately 20 countries in Europe.
ESAVS programs are accredited by the ATF (Akademie für tierärztliche Fortbildung), which operates under the Federal Chamber of Veterinarians of Germany (Bundestierärztekammer - BTK). This accreditation aligns with the requirements of the Registry of Approved Continuing Education (RACE, USA), the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS, UK), and the Veterinary Council of Ireland (VCI).
More information about the program is available here.
