Georgia’s first small animal CT center, VET CT, has opened on the Kakha Bendukidze campus

Georgia’s first officially established Small Animal Computed Tomography Center, VET CT, has opened on the Kakha Bendukidze Campus.

Computed tomography is particularly important for complex diagnostic cases. Compared to traditional X-ray imaging, its advantages include high resolution, layered imaging and the ability to perform full-body 3D reconstruction. These capabilities ensure more accurate treatment planning and significantly improve the preparation of surgical interventions.

The opening of VET CT on the Kakha Bendukidze Campus enables Veterinarium to further enhance the quality of disease diagnostics. It also provides students of the Agricultural University’s School of Veterinary Medicine with the opportunity to study radiology and modern imaging techniques in a more comprehensive and hands-on manner.
