Namtso Undergoes Laparoscopic Spay Surgery at Veterinarium
01 May 2026
Namtso underwent laparoscopic spay surgery at Veterinarium, a modern, safer, and welfare-oriented technique.
The procedure was performed by the clinic’s Head Veterinarian, Dr. Lasha-Giorgi Japaridze, while anesthesia was managed by Natia Robakidze. The surgeon was assisted by Mari Kapanadze.
Prior to surgery, Namtso underwent a cardiac ultrasound examination, along with pre-anesthetic testing, including a complete blood count with morphology, a biochemical profile, and electrolyte evaluation.
In addition, based on the decision of the clinic’s internal medicine team, the patient underwent PCR testing for 8 vector-borne canine diseases to rule out infectious pathologies that could affect the general condition, immune status, and anesthetic safety. Based on the test results, vector-borne infections were ruled out.
Based on the results of the echocardiography, pre-anesthetic testing, and PCR panel, Namtso successfully underwent laparoscopic spay surgery and was already feeling well later the same day.
The full cost of the surgery, echocardiography, and diagnostic testing was covered by our clinic, as Namtso belongs to the late Ms. Inga Kavelashvili. She cared for dozens of animals with exceptional compassion, and we wanted to support her daughter, Tina, and contribute to finding Namtso a new, loving home.
We wish Tina and Namtso all the very best.
