Richard Tavdgiridze has joined the Veterinarium team as a Veterinary Assistant

Richard Tavdgiridze has joined the Veterinarium team as a Veterinary Assistant in the Internal Medicine Department. 

Richard is also a Master’s student at the School of Veterinary Medicine at the Agricultural University of Georgia, where he stands out for his excellent academic performance.

Within the framework of the agreement between the Agricultural University of Georgia and the Estonian University of Life Sciences, he spent one semester studying and completed an intensive professional traineeship in Estonia.

During his studies in Estonia, Richard completed a range of key disciplines and courses, including Endocrinology, Small Animal Internal Medicine, Veterinary Radiology, Emergency and Critical Care, as well as Veterinary Practice and Management. Importantly, he also underwent intensive hands-on Practical Training in Small Animal Medicine at the Veterinary Clinic of the Estonian University of Life Sciences where experienced clinicians mentored him, shared their expertise, and supported the development of his practical skills.

Alongside his work at Veterinarium, Richard continues to work on his Master’s research, which focuses on the safety, pharmacokinetic, and pharmacodynamic profile of a specific BL-1 bacteriophage targeting Escherichia coli.

In addition, Richard will participate in the 36th ECVIM-CA Congress 2026, the European Congress of Veterinary Internal Medicine for Companion Animals, which will take place in Berlin on September 10-12. The congress brings together leading experts in the field of veterinary medicine to discuss key areas such as gastroenterology, hepatology, nephrology and urology, oncology, endocrinology, cardiology, and more.
