The innovative surgical instrument system will soon be available at Veterinarium.

The innovative surgical instrument system of the Swiss company KYON, created and used by leading veterinary orthopedic surgeons in some of the world’s most advanced clinics, will soon be available at Veterinarium.

With the help of these surgical instruments, it will become possible to perform high quality prosthetic surgery in Georgia using the Zurich Cementless Total Hip Replacement system, a state of the art solution for complete hip joint replacement. Among existing implant technologies, this system has achieved wide clinical application thanks to its innovative design, use of biocompatible materials, and the long term potential for bone tissue integration into the prosthesis.

Once implemented, Veterinarium will become the only veterinary clinic in Georgia and the entire South Caucasus where Zurich Cementless Total Hip Replacement surgeries can be performed.

To obtain authorization for purchasing and using these advanced orthopedic surgical instruments and innovative implants, Dr. Lasha Giorgi Japaridze, Head of the Surgical Department at Veterinarium, has already successfully completed two levels of the official KYON educational program. After completing the final, third level, the system will be fully implemented in our clinic.

The introduction of the KYON Zurich Cementless Total Hip Replacement system will elevate veterinary surgery in Georgia to an entirely new level of development.
