Food Safety Management Certificate Program
Admission Criteria
Applicants must complete the following steps:

Registration
To enroll in the program, it is required to fill out the electronic registration form.
Tuition Fee
The tuition fee for the program is 1,450 GEL. The tuition fee can be paid in two installments: 750 GEL one week before the start of the program, and 700 GEL eight weeks after the program begins.
Duration and Schedule
The certificate program lasts approximately 4 months. Lectures are held 3 times a week, and in some cases, 4 times:
- On weekdays, lectures start at 19:00
- On Saturdays, lectures may start at 10:00 or 11:00
Program Description
The Agricultural University of Georgia, in partnership with the private sector, has developed a new Certificate Program in Food Safety Management.
The goal of the program is to train highly qualified personnel with labor market-oriented knowledge who can independently create, implement, manage, and improve food safety management systems for all business operators involved in the food production chain.
The program is intended for individuals who:
- Are interested in employment as a food safety manager or specialist.
- Are currently employed in the field of food safety and wish to deepen their knowledge for career advancement.
- Hold a managerial position with a business operator involved in food production and any related supply chain and seek to acquire or enhance their knowledge for better management and delegation.
The program's implementation was made possible through support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), specifically within the framework of the USAID program "Employers for Vocational Education."

As part of the certificate program, students will study the following subjects:
- Computer Skills
- Basics of Mathematics
- Introduction to Food Safety
- Food Microbiology
- Food Chemistry
- Food Hazards
- Prerequisite Programs (GHP, GMP, GDP)
- HACCP System
- Management Tools and Auditing
Certificate
Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a certificate from the Agricultural University of Georgia. To obtain the certificate, students must achieve a positive assessment in each subject.
