04 October 2026
Cocker Spaniel Lucy was experiencing painful urination and blood in her urine.
Lucy underwent a cystotomy, a surgical procedure used to remove stones or foreign bodies from the bladder and, when necessary, to collect a tissue sample.
The surgery was performed by Veterinarium’s Head Veterinarian, Dr. Lasha-Giorgi Japaridze, assisted by Luka Ghlonti. Anesthesia was managed by Veterinarium’s anesthesiologist and cardiologist, Natia Robakidze.
The bladder stones were successfully removed during the cystotomy
