Veterinarium Clinic uses the Vetina ES3 for gastroscopy
12 July 2025
At Veterinarium Clinic gastroscopy is performed using the advanced flexible veterinary endoscopy system – Vetina ES3.
Gastroscopy is a minimally invasive endoscopic diagnostic method used to visually assess the esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. This procedure is widely applied for identifying and differentiating various gastrointestinal tract disorders, including:
- Erosive lesions
- Inflammatory conditions
- Neoplastic formations
- Presence of foreign bodies
The gastroscopy is performed by Dr. Lasha-Giorgi Japaridze, Chief Veterinarian and Head of Surgical Department at Veterinarium. He holds a Master's degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Agricultural University of Georgia, is a PhD candidate, and also serves as a lecturer in surgical disciplines at the same university.
Anesthesia is carefully managed by our clinic’s anesthesiologist, Natia Robakidze, a Master’s student at the Veterinary School of the Agricultural University of Georgia. With extensive practical experience and specialized training in Poland, Estonia, and Italy, Natia ensures that each anesthetic protocol she develops is tailored to maximize patient safety and comfort.
