The story of a greedy little kitty

Meet Tsutsa, also known as Zuzi at home. She is just over 6 months old and came to Veterinarium for blood tests ahead of her planned spay surgery. But her visit took an unexpected turn.
During her consultation with veterinarian Barbare Kurtsikidze, her owner mentioned seeing Tsutsa swallow a hair tie. Despite this, she had no symptoms. She wasn’t vomiting, was eating and drinking normally, and was having normal bowel movements.
Barbare referred Tsutsa to Nutsa Besashvili for an ultrasound. The scan suggested that there might be several different foreign objects in her stomach, so a gastroscopy was scheduled.
Head Veterinarian at Veterinarium, Dr. Lasha-Giorgi Japaridze, performed the gastroscopy, with Natia Robakidze managing the anesthesia. Several hair ties and a bracelet were removed from Tsutsa’s stomach. These are the very items you can see in the photo.
A further conversation with her owner revealed that the items had gone missing from around the house at different times. Some had disappeared several weeks earlier, while one of the hair ties had been missing for about two months. Throughout that time, Tsutsa had shown no signs of discomfort or illness that might have led her owner to suspect she had swallowed them.
Tsutsa is now doing well.
